Dr Hong Soo Wan graduated in 1986 from the National University of Singapore with M.B.B.S. After his internship, he underwent basic surgical training and obtained his surgical fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, United Kingdom in 1992. He pursued further training in the subspecialty of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and became a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 1998. He was enrolled in the specialist register for Plastic Surgery at the same time. During his plastic surgery training, he did a year of fellowship in the Regional Plastic Surgery Centre at the Mount Vernon Hospital, London in 1996/1997. Upon his return from the United Kingdom, he was promoted to consultant position in the Department of Plastic Surgery, Singapore General Hospital. Following 3 years of experience as a consultant plastic surgeon, he ventured into private practice. He is a visiting consultant to the KK Women's & Children's Hospital, National University Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
His specialty practice includes cosmetic surgery of the eyelids, nose, chin, face and ears. Double eyelids are created with stitch or laser techniques. Asian noses with low bridge and weak chin are augmented with implants. Bulbous tip is refined and broad alars are reduced. Prominent ears are set back. Aging face with cheek droop and prominent nasolabial folds may be lifted with a short indistinct scar. Body contouring with liposuction is commonly done for the abdomen, thighs, arms, back and chin. Small breasts are augmented with implants and large sagging breast are reduced and lifted. Long and sagging nipple is reduced and lifted. Cosmetic laser treatment for pigmentations like sun spots, age spots, moles and skin lesions. Laser resurfacing is done to smoothen post-acne scars. Tattoos are removed with minimal scars and unwanted hairs are removed permanently with laser. Botox is used for treating wrinkles and contouring the jaw-line. Collagen fillers are used for augmenting deep lines and facial contouring.
In reconstructive surgery, he has a special interest in breast reconstruction following mastectomy. Both methods using implant or own tissue from the abdomen or back can be used. Congenital deformities or absence of the ear can be reconstructed with costal cartilage. Congenital cleft lip and palates are managed with a team of surgeons and therapists. Asymmetry of facial expression due to facial palsy can be corrected with muscle transfer to reanimate the face. Deformities or skin defect after trauma or surgery may be reconstructed with skin flaps using microsurgical techniques to restore form and function.

Dr Leslie Kuek is a certified plastic & reconstructive surgeon and is registered with the Singapore Academy of Medicine. He was the president of the Singapore Society of Cosmetic (Aesthetics) Surgeons until 2003 and was the former president of the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons. He graduated with a basic medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 1981.
Dr Kuek obtained his advanced surgery degrees from the Royal College of Edinburgh & Glasgow in 1986. In 1989, he won the prestigious Young Surgeon's Award from the Academy of Medicine for his original research in microvascular tissue transfer. He furthermore advanced his skills in plastic surgery training at the Department of Plastic Surgery, University of Tokyo, Japan & Taipei Chang Gung Hospital, Taiwan. Upon his return, he worked in the department of Plastic Surgery in Singapore General Hospital from 1986 till 1994 before he began his own private practice in 1995 at the Gleneagles Medical Centre.
Dr Kuek is a pioneer in plastic surgery. He was instrumental in starting breast reconstruction & facial paralysis reconstruction in the Department of Plastic Surgery, Singapore General Hospital where he continues to hold the position of Visiting Consultant.
As a senior member of the plastic surgery community, Dr Kuek is much sought after by TV and radio media, as well as local and foreign magazines, newspapers for his views and ideas pertaining to issues in plastic & cosmetic surgery. He has and is still giving numerous lectures, public talks and training courses on plastic surgery both in Singapore and overseas.
Dr Kuek was the plastic surgeon that led a team of volunteer Singaporean doctors and nurses, coordinated by Parkway Group Healthcare, to help treat the victims of the Bali bomb blast in October, 2002. Dr Seah was trained in plastic surgery at the Singapore General Hospital. He had further training in 1991 in microsurgical reconstruction at the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taipei on a Microsurgical Fellowship.
Dr Seah was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan Fellowship in 1992/93 and underwent advanced training in plastic surgery at the Department of Plastic Surgery, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston and at the Harbourview Medical Centre, Seattle.
Dr Seah was the President of the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons in 2004-05. He is a Visiting Consultant to the Singapore General Hospital and had also held Visiting Consultant positions at the National Cancer Centre, Changi General Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Dr Seah has special interest in Cosmetic Surgery of the face and body as well as the latest minimally invasive / non-invasive Aesthetic Medical treatments. Besides Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine, Dr Seah also has an active practice in reconstruction of the beast following mastectomy for breast cancer.
Dr Seah has published several papers in the Academy of Medicine and the Asian Journal of Surgery.
